What happened to British born women during the Great War (1914-1918) who had married an enemy national?
Q. I believe that at the time, British women who married foreign nationals automatically lost their British nationality. If they were living in the country at the time of the War, would they have been interred as enemy aliens?

Some words that are spelled differently in british and american english?
Q. I'm learning english in school, and I'm about to do the test for the CAE certificate. The thing is, our school teaches british english, so I have to spell everything the british way, but I don't know which words are spelled different. And I'm pretty sure I spell everything the american way :) So could you please list some of the words, with both the american and the british spellings? Than you!

How did the British divide the Kikuyu people in Kenya around the time of the Mau Mau Uprising?
Q. I have found plenty of information detailing the way the British oppressed the people - torture, rape, beatings, etc. I'm having difficulty finding specifics on the divide and rule tactics that they used. How did they cause conflict amongst the people?

A. Of course, this is all lies put about by people who were tortured, raped and beaten etc by their British oppressors. There are no specifics because we burnt all records. Whereas the machete was the favourite tool of the Mau Mau to divide heads into two equal halves, the British used more subtle methods- torture, rape, beatings, It worked because there is now peace. As the saying goes- it's all blood under the bridge and if my uncle got a nice farm out of it, then all's well that ends well as that little religious black man in a ballet skirt would say.
